I did try to connect my hearing aid on my old sony 2016 TV a few months ago, the same thing happened there, i couldn't get it to work at all. But i am leaning towards it being this TV's issue.

One last thing, i don't know if this is a TV software issue or android software issue.

So here's the question: Sony, is this a bug? If it is, it would be nice if you could fix it, so deaf people like me can take advantage of bluetooth, if it isn't a bug, would you please add proper implementation, bluetooth support for hearing aid? (Naida CI & Phonak Compilot) ? Which means, a person next to me won't hear the sound from any video, which is the intention and purpose of the hearing aid, only i'll be able to hear it. I went into an electronic store to test out a "LG Nanocell TV" and i could connect my hearing aid there, but the thing here, is that the sound from the TV could get transmitted directly to my hearing aid. However, once you connect it to the TV, then when i try to watch anything, no sounds will come through to my hearing aid at all. Both the devices can be found in the bluetooth search bar and even connect to the TV. So here's the issue, i've done two tests, one with my Naida CI, without the use of phonak compilot and one with phonak compilot. I wanted to try out my hearing aid namely (Naida CI) i have a built in bluetooth through one of the larger batteries to it, i also have phonak compilot, another hearing aid device that can get connected with any device that has bluetooth in it. The box includes 1 x Phonak TV Connector, 1 x plug power supply with USB Cable, 1 x optical (toslink) cable, 1 x 3.5mm analog jack and a user manual.Hi everyone, new user here, today i got my sony xh90 TV.

You can now turn your hearing aids on or lift them from the charger. Then press the pairing button on the back of the connector and the LED lights will blink in green. In case the initial connection with your aids is unsuccessful, or if the hearing aids are not within a 1 metre (3ft) range when the device is first powered, turn your hearing aids off, or place them into your charger. Please note that if the device is used with the analog jack, the sound will not be available from the main television speakers for unaided individuals to hear. Then connect the device to your audio source using either the optical (toslink) cable or the analog jack and when you turn the television on, sound will automatically stream into your hearing aids. You will then hear an audible tone from the hearing aids as confirmation that the pairing has been completed. When using the device for the first time, simply plug it into the USB at the back of the television or into a wall socket and it will automatically pair with your Lumity, Life, Marvel or Paradise hearing aids (provided that they are switched on and in range). The device can be connected to the audio source by either the optical (toslink) cable or analog jack which can then be plugged into the designated audio socket on the TV Connector. Has your family been complaining about the high volume of the television for a while now? Worry not! The Phonak TV Connector gives you the opportunity to enjoy the TV at the volume you prefer without disturbing others.Ĭompatible and discreet, with a generous 15-meter (50ft) range, this amazing device is the perfect hearing aid accessory to enhance your television listening experience.
